Some surfaces look the same from every angle. This isn't one of them. The Semimatt veneer only reveals its character once light starts moving across it. A photograph can't capture that. Animation can.
This was a challenge that demanded creativity from us, close attention to detail, and a consistent artistic vision. What came out of it is an animation that shows the product's aesthetic on one hand, and on the other, the advanced qualities that define Oknoplast's veneers.
Semimatt is a new generation of window veneers. Advanced technology meets an aesthetic that doesn't need to explain itself to anyone. A product built for the modern market: it delivers beauty and style without asking you to trade away durability or ease of use.
Available in three colours, for anyone who wants to bring a touch of sophistication into a space without losing sight of practicality. Because it's more than a veneer. It's a promise of durability and style.
Our task was to build a campaign concept that would show off the unique properties of the Semimatt veneer and, along the way, help both consumers and professionals see just how many design possibilities this product holds. We focused on visual material that puts the veneer's texture and aesthetic front and centre, without ever losing the core message: functionality and durability.
Instead of showing technicalities, we showed structure. The surface's microstructure subtly scatters light, so the colour gains depth and shifts depending on the angle it's hit at. We designed the whole thing to stop a thumb mid-scroll and hold up on any digital platform.
This is a solution for people who refuse to choose between aesthetics and function. It works across a wide range of architectural projects, from contemporary to classic, and it can give any space a character of its own.
The whole craft came down to one thing: translating the product's physical properties into a digital narrative that catches the eye.
We started with the product. That didn't stop at analysing the samples we'd been given. We sat down with the client to talk, to understand not just how the veneer looks and feels, but the philosophy behind it. Only then did we start reaching for different techniques. The goal was visuals that capture texture and colour, but also the sense of touch and that distinctive depth of the matte finish. Working with light and shadow turned out to be the key.
We experimented with lighting scenarios, because that was the only way to bring out the veneer's quality across different contexts. Soft reflections that highlight depth of colour and texture, without stripping the surface of its natural, semi-matte character. It was this understanding of how the product plays with light that let us present it as exactly what it is: a high-quality material capable of changing the character of an entire space.
Simulation carried the technical side of the project. It let us render the veneers realistically and show how they interact with their surroundings, down to the effect of fine, light sand being blown by the wind.
The Oknoplast project was our way into the world of semi-matte veneers, where technology and aesthetics walk hand in hand. It was also a great opportunity to show how modern solutions reshape the perception and function of a space without losing any of the aesthetic value. Animation let us move past a dry, technical description and turn it into a narrative that's accessible, engaging, and simply beautiful. One that captures the spirit of innovation behind the product.
This is a project that shows innovation can be functional and beautiful at once, and we were glad to be part of that story.
